Candle Care + Use Tips

Trim your wicks - when you receive your new candle it will be trimmed and ready to enjoy. As you burn it, the wick may end up a little big for its britches. Make sure to trim it back down to about 1/4 inch above the wax before relighting. This will help your candle burn correctly, and keep your container from becoming too hot. Take care not to trim the wick too short or else it may no longer burn efficiently.

Burn Baby Burn - be sure to allow the entire surface of wax to melt before extinguishing. This will help prevent that annoying pocket that can form and leave you with unused wax on the edges, no one wants that.

Caution: Contents HOT - you’re no dummy (that’s obvious, you have exquisite taste if you ended up here *wink*) but we’ll break it down for you anyway. We use aluminum tins and glass jars as the vessels for our candles. While this leaves them susceptible to becoming hot to the touch while in use, it also means they are an infinitely recyclable item once you’ve completely finished it! To avoid injury, we recommend you always use candles in a safe area, away from flammable materials, where it is not likely to be knocked over, and out of reach of little ones (either human or furry).
